This learning activity, ‘Weka Wobble’, introduces the flightless New Zealand birds known as weka. Students work out how many more weka can be brought to Motiuti Reserve and record their addition and subtraction methods on a number line. An answer sheet is provided and includes teaching notes with suggestions for supporting learning and further exploration.
