This template, ‘Tracking the World Cup Teams’ is a fantastic resource that can be used as a whole class or individually to track the progress of the FIFA World Cup finalists through the Round of 16 to the final. Students are provided with a table in which they are required to enter the winners and the runners-up of each group from A-H. These teams are given a code by FIFA and this code (for example 1A) signifies the game which they progress to in the Round of 16. Using the second graphical organiser, students can plot out the progression of winners which allows them to easily follow the journey to the finals. Printing in larger sizes is recommended if using for a wall poster.
