Detailed description

This worksheet, ‘Tracking Group G Scores’ is a fantastically engaging activity that provides a table in which students can track the progress of group G teams through the group phase of the FIFA World Cup. Information to be entered includes: how many matches have been played out of the three matches in the group phase, how many wins, draws and loses the team has collected, the number of goals scored for and against them and finally, the points earned. Students are instructed to use tally marks to record the number of matches played and the number of wins, draws and losses. They are then provided with three spaces in the table to include the goals scored for each game, the goals scored against them in each game, and the points earned for each of the corresponding matches in that phase. When results from all three games are recorded, students are the required to find the totals for these three scores to find the overall winner and runner-up.
