This reading comprehension activity, ‘To Be a Zookeeper’ asks students to answer comprehension questions about a story in which a boy named James goes on a class trip to the zoo. It is aimed at developing students’ awareness of semantics and encourages them to recall information and the central idea, as well as form opinions, make judgements, and think about text meaning and text organisation.
