This phonemic awareness activity, ‘The Turtle and the Hares’ supports language development by encouraging students to play an activity in which the leader says a word by pronouncing each sound separately and the students reply by saying the word quickly with all sounds blended. It is aimed at developing students’ awareness of sound blending. It provides picture cards and word lists.
