Detailed description
This reading comprehension activity, ‘The Tea Kettle of Good Luck’ asks students to answer comprehension questions about a story in which a friendly badger, disguised as a tea kettle, brings good luck to whomever takes care of him. It is aimed at developing students’ awareness of semantics and encourages them to look critically at the language used in a narrative text in order to ascertain the meaning and usage of individual words and phrases. It also encourages them to recall information and draw conclusions.
