This reading comprehension activity, ‘The Financier’ asks students to answer questions about a story in which a boy sees and seizes an opportunity to make money. It is aimed at increasing students’ awareness of semantics and encourages students to recall information, make predictions, make comparisons, draw conclusions, form opinions and think about word meanings.
