This content area reading learning activity, ‘The Fascinating Foreword,’ teaches students about the function and purpose of the foreword. It is aimed at helping students understand that the foreword, preface and/or introduction all provide critical information to the reader that becomes the foundation for deciding whether or not to keep reading.
