Detailed description
This reading comprehension activity, ‘Solar Hot Dog Cooker’ helps students build a solar hot dog cooker and asks students to answer comprehension questions about the solar cooker. It is aimed at developing students’ awareness of semantics and encourages them to look critically at the language used in an informative and instructional text, draw conclusions, form opinions, recall information, as well as think about text conventions, such as numbered lists.
