This phonemic awareness activity, ‘Name Change’ supports language development by encouraging students to use the beginning sound of the names of their classmates to practise sound manipulation. It is aimed at developing students’ awareness of sound manipulation by substitution. It provides a name tent card and a Hey Diddle Diddle nursery rhyme chart.
