Detailed description
This reading comprehension activity, ‘Athena and Arachne’ asks students to answer questions about a tale in which Athena, the goddess of wisdom, turns vain and conceited Arachne into a spider. It is aimed at increasing students’ awareness of semantics and encourages students to recall information, form opinions and think about word meanings.
