This worksheet, ‘Olympic Medal Count Graph’ is a fantastic resource to link mathematics with the Olympics. Students are provided with a graph to record the countries and their number of wins in past Olympics. It is an interesting research task that will graphically represent the history of the Olympics. The graph lends itself to creating a bar graph, however, students could also choose to form a line graph or a pictograph. This activity can be completed as a class or individually.
